Figma’s Latest AI and Design Tools

Figma Buzz: On-Brand, At Scale

We recently attended the Figma Buzz webinar and were thoroughly impressed. This feature bridges the gap between design systems and large-scale content generation. It allows us to create branded templates while locking down crucial elements like logos and colors, enabling non-design team members to edit text, dates, or images without compromising our brand’s integrity.

An exciting addition is the ability to import a spreadsheet to generate a full set of assets in one go. It is perfect for large campaigns or content-heavy projects where speed and brand consistency are paramount.

Figma Sites: Design It, Build It, Publish It

Perhaps the most eyebrow-raising feature is Figma Sites, which enables us to build and launch fully responsive websites directly from our Figma files with no mock-ups necessary. We can design, add animations, and implement scroll effects, then publish it all in one step. This tool is a substantial time-saver for smaller projects, campaigns, or MVPs, providing clients with quick, on-brand solutions.

Figma Make: AI Prototyping That’s Actually Useful

Figma Make is the newest AI-powered prototyping tool that generates a working prototype in seconds based on descriptions like “a food app” or “a login flow.” While it won’t replace genuine design work, it serves as a fantastic starting point, particularly in initial client discussions where ideas need to be visualized quickly.

AI Everywhere, and It’s Actually Decent

Figma’s commitment to AI is evident in this update. Whether it’s rewriting text, refining hand-drawn sketches, or quickly swapping images, these AI tools integrated across Design, FigJam, Slides, Buzz, and Sites are genuinely useful. They streamline repetitive tasks, allowing us to dedicate more time to creative endeavors.

What This Means for Us

We’re incredibly excited about how these updates will reshape our workflow at Cardiff App Developers. Here’s what we’re particularly looking forward to:

• Accelerated MVP turnarounds for clients needing a quick launch.

• Cleaner handovers between design and development, ready for code.

• Enhanced collaboration through editable templates and live sites.

• Increased creative freedom within a unified design ecosystem.
